RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards : Rules
All applications must be made on the official RoSPA entry form (PDF format 201kb). Applicants must ensure that all relevant sections of the entry form are completed. The answers to the Key Performance Questions (Section 2) must be supported by a file of cross referenced supporting information. The listed industry sectors will be regrouped if necessary and RoSPA reserves the right not to award a Specialist Award or Sector Award for a particular industry sector if the Adjudication Panel considers that none of the entries received has demonstrated a sufficiently high standard. Unsuccessful Sector Award entries will be automatically re-assessed for an Achievement Award. Entries from overseas organisations will be accepted but submissions must include sufficient information in English for the level of performance to be assessed. Non-payment of the relevant entry fee will invalidate the application. Applications are assessed on the basis of the written evidence submitted, taking into account the nature of the work being carried out. RoSPA may make enquiries as necessary and may visit any entrant’s premises. Applicants may be required to attend a meeting to make a verbal presentation of their entry. The signatures provided at Section 4 will be taken as attesting to the completeness and accuracy of the entry, which is submitted to the RoSPA Awards scheme in good faith. The signatures also represent acceptance of the scheme rules. RoSPA will not make an award in any case where there are reasonable grounds to suggest that the entry is deliberately incomplete or contains false information. RoSPA reserves the right to revoke any award made should it come to its attention that required information was not disclosed which would have materially affected the Adjudication Panel’s decision. RoSPA also reserves the right to vary or revoke any award as a result of the verification process. All applications should be addressed to the Awards Manager, RoSPA, Edgbaston Park, 353 Bristol Road, Birmingham 5 7ST. Entries received after 13th February 2009 will be subject to a surcharge of £50 + VAT or may even be excluded from consideration. No guarantee is made that any award resulting from a late entry will be included in the official presentation events. |
