How do I navigate the site?
The RoSPA home page has links to all main areas of the web site. In addition there is a drop-down list of quick links. The search facility can also be refined to search specific areas of the site.

On each page of the web site you will see a variety of navigational aids. Across the top of the screen you will find links to the site essentials: Home Page, Contact Us, Site Map and A to Z Index as well as the Search facility.

There is a second level of navigation at the base of the top banner taking you to the six main sections of the site: About RoSPA, Safety Areas, Training & Consultancy, Join RoSPA, Resources and News and Events.

In addition there is a drop-down list of Quick Links at the top of the left-hand navigation which will take you to all main sections and pages of the site.

Finally each page will have section-specific navigation down the left-hand side of the page which will take you to the main sub-sections and pages of that part of the RoSPA website.

How do I increase or decrease the text size?
You can change your text settings through your browser options: in Internet Explorer, go to View > Text size and select your desired text size setting (eg. larger, smaller); in Netscape browsers go to View>Text size. Select a larger or smaller 'percentage' or click on 'larger'’ (or ‘smaller’) to go one size up or down.

Change the size of the image shown on your screen
The RoSPA web site is designed to function visually in all screen resolutions (640x480 upwards). To change your computer screen settings on a PC running the Windows 95 and upwards operating system, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings and change the desktop area by using the sliding bar.

On an Apple Macintosh, you can use the Monitor & Sound Control Panel to change the resolution.

PDF documents?
Links to all PDF documents on this site are indicated by the presence of the PDF icon and the file size.

To view PDF documents on the RoSPA website you will need to download and install a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you have problems accessing PDF documents on this website visit our Download Help page.

Almost all of the PDF documents on the RoSPA web site are under 500kb in file size to reduce download times. There are exceptions, if you have problems downloading files larger than 500kb contact RoSPA (help@rospa.com) and we will endeavour to provide you with an alternative means of accessing the document.

Detailed help relating to accessibility features and support for screen reader users is also available.
