‘Burns Like Fire’ – Join the Campaign to Prevent Bath Water Scalds |
Every day in the UK, a child is admitted to hospital with serious bath water scald injuries. Yet these horrific injuries can be prevented by a simple safety device - a thermostatic mixing valve fitted to the bath hot tap.

The Scottish Parliament has already acted - since May, all new homes and new bathrooms have been fitted with these safety valves. But, south of the border, ministers are still hesitating. We need you to add your voice to ours and write to your local MP and to Ministers at the Departments of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and of Communities and Local Government. You will find a suggested letter to ministers at the 'Hot Water Burns Like Fire' coalition's website

Do Your Drivers Feel Vulnerable? |
Employees who either drive alone or at night, or those who drive to remote locations may need extra support to help them do their jobs to the best of their ability. With RoSPA’s Personal Safety Course you can ensure that your employees can confidently identify and address the risks of driving alone such as planning a journey, dealing with a puncture and discouraging unwelcome attention.

Better Backs – RoSPA Support for October’s HSE Campaign |
Back injuries cost employers and society dear, and yet by far the majority are preventable. We offer a cost-effective manual handling ‘train the trainer’ course, which allows organisations to make considerable savings by training one individual, who can then disseminate the skills around their workplace. This course is made even more affordable by the fact that it is offered around the country so organisations can reduce their travel and accommodation costs:
