A RoSPA reminder of the Biocidal Regulation 2007
Special requirements in Biocidal products relating to their advertising came into force on April 6 2007.
Previously, products were exempt from these requirements until they were authorised under the BPR. Companies now have to comply with the requirements for advertising for their Biocidal products.
This applies to all product types that fall under the remit of the Biocidal Products Directive (BPD).
If your organisation deals with dangerous substances then RoSPA has a variety of resources to help you manage the risk: Please visit the RoSPA website here.

Banksman courses with RoSPA |
A high proportion of vehicle accidents happen off the public road and these can be virtually eliminated with the right training.
Banksman training ensures that your organisation meets its legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents when carrying out commonplace, but dangerous reversing manoeuvres.
RoSPA’s range of Banksman courses can equip your employees with the practical techniques to assist drivers, as well as how to identify the dangers on site. RoSPA’s Banksman Assessors will enable your employees to understand and assess the need for Banksman training, and our popular Banksman Train the Trainers course provides a cost-effective alternative should you wish to train a sizable number of employees.
Further information on all these programmes is available here.

The road to change - are you prepared? |
Do you understand what impact a company vehicle road crash can really have on your business?
The new corporate manslaughter law will come into force next year, making sound health and safety practice a key objective for many businesses.
With only eight months to go, it is a worrying time for managers as evidence of relevant management failure will be sufficient for prosecution against a business for unlawful killing in its workplace.
RoSPA has various courses available to combat the confusion, such as Understanding Driver Impairment (Sep/Nov) and Road Accident Investigation Introduction (Oct). For the full list of training courses please click here.
Also, for expert consultancy services relating to the new corporate manslaughter law please contact:
