This course has been specially designed to train thosewith
responsibilities for educating others in the moving and handling
of people within the health or social care sector and education
sector.
As with all courses in RoSPA’s safer people handling suite,
the emphasis is on developing consistency of care for residents
and clients and the psychologicalwell-being of the people
handling staff.
By applying the skills andmethods gleaned from
this course, organisations will benefit from more motivated
staff, aswell as improved functional mobility of clients, thus
reducing the strain on the handlers involved.. |
Who should attend?
Managers, supervisors and those with responsibility for educating
others in the moving and handling of people within the health or
social care sector. Experience in moving and handling people is
essential,as is previous training experience,or the ability to take
on a training role.

On successful completion of thewritten and practical assessments
delegateswill be awarded a Safer PeopleHandlingTrainers’ certificate,which is valid for three years.Successful delegateswill
also receive a CD-ROMcontaining all the coursematerials required
to deliver a standard awareness course. |
