Road Safety Engineering (Accident Investigation and Prevention)
This is a residential course comprising lectures in the first week and practical work in the second. The all-inclusive price includes course fees, a copy of the Road Safety Engineering Manual and eight nights accommodation, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Who should attend?
All those who require a solid, comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice of road investigation and prevention.
What will the delegate bring back to the workplace?
● Knowledge of national and local road safety policies, accident causation, accident data
● A thorough understanding of accidents investigation, site and route solutions, areas wide studies and safety audit
● Knowledge of the theory which underpins accident investigation
● Prevention techniques and the ‘hands-on’ ability to put these into practice
● Delegates work in teams during the second week to investigate and analyse a real-life case study and design an appropriate remedial programme. Each team produces a written report and a presentation on the final day of the course.
